Look at the sheen on this bamboo. Finally, a piece on the loom. This first sampler piece will be a test of the electronics and solenoid system, which selects the shafts raised to create the patterns on the Weavebird.

ArtFire
ArtFire is a new online venue for artists and crafters. The differences between it and Etsy or Ebay is that the artist pays a flat monthly fee, with no separate listing fees. I'd urge anyone who wants to sell their handmade work to check it out — and of course, check it out as your new online source of great handmade gifts.
